Bright and Bold

It's one of those days when I take a quick tour of Nordstrom and spot something I really like. I say "quick" because if I stay any longer, I might be tempted to order stuff. And I can't. Or shouldn't. =) Anyway, I saw this photo for Shu Uemura and I love it!

I love how these bright, bold necklaces are layered together -- with the matching eye make up. I don't think I can pull this off, but, well, it's just gorgeous. It reminded of this colorful Indian monsoon bangles at Sacred Accessories:

 

Nordstrom's hot fall accessory trends are all about bright scarves, two tone jewelry, jewel tone bags and gold and silver long chain necklaces. There's more, but color seems to be the most dominant feature of fall, and we just can't get enough of bright, bold and fabulous accessories! All I can say is, if you've gbeen stuck with monochromatic colors lately, it's about time to experiment a little and update your look. Go bright and bold!

Oval Faces -- Perfect for Earrings!

Love earrings? Well if you happen to be one of those ladies who have an oval-shaped face, well lucky you! Your face shape suits any style of earrings. Celebrities like Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron, Beyonce Knowles and Jessica Alba have oval faces and look good wearing just about any style! Soft shapes such as pearls, tear drops, circles, and ovals are the best, but you can also try simple splendid studs for the classic, polished look. In fact, you can pick just about any style from Sacred Accessories  such as this lovely pair!

So how can you tell if your face shape is oval? This face shape finds its width at the cheek bones and tapers smoothly in either direction, with a chin slightly slimmer than the forehead. Falling in love...with accessories

The first time I visited the Sacred Accessories site, I didn’t know where to start! There were just so many pretty items to look at, I could just spend the entire day browsing the entire selection. But I vividly remember the first item that caught my eye – a gorgeous scarf by Elizabeth Gillet.
 

Elizabeth Gillet was trained as an artist, painter and printmaker at Hartwick College before launching her self-labeled line.  It all started when she was unable to find a replacement for a favorite lost scarf so she designed her own.
